We focus on acquiring and managing strategic businesses that create long term shareholder returns and socio-economic impact. Our business interests are in four strategic sectors: Power, Energy, Hospitality and Agriculture.

Incorporated on November 16, 2004 and quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Transcorp has a shareholder base of about 300,000 investors, the largest of which is Heirs Holdings Limited, a pan-African proprietary investment company.

Our notable businesses include the award-winning Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja; Transcorp Hotels, Calabar; Teragro Commodities Limited, operator of Teragro Benfruit Plant – Nigeria’s first-of-its-kind juice concentrate plant; Transcorp Power Limited which acquired Ughelli Power Plc, owner of the 972MW Ughelli Power Plant and Transcorp Energy Limited, operator of OPL 281.

Governance & Ethics

Transcorp PLC is focused on creating long-term value and sustainability by institutionalizing a culture of excellence that is entrenched in the Company’s operations. The Board of Directors sets the tone at the top and is therefore committed to the principles and practice of good Corporate Governance. The Board is effectively supported by its committees namely, the Board Audit & Governance Committee (BAGC) and the Finance & Investment Committee (FIC).

To ensure its continued commitment to good governance practices, the Company has put in place various policies, and processes to enable staff and other stakeholders report any unethical activity affecting it.

Sustainability – The framework dedicated to the sustainable development of the Companand the community where we operate.

Code of Conduct – A dedicated policy document that codifies the Company’s values, provides guidance on ethical issues and fosters a culture of honesty and accountability. This policy provides clearly the Company’s stand on Corruption/Bribery, money laundering and conflict of interest issues.

Complaints Management – A dedicated process for the handling and resolution of complaints available for download.

Whistle blowing Procedure – A dedicated process for reporting suspected violations of the Company’s policies or national laws and regulations also available for download.

Enterprise Risk Management – A framework dedicated to the identification, assessment, treatment, and monitoring of the Company’s risk. To ensure its continued commitment to good governance practices, the Company has put in place various policies, processes and avenues to enable staff and other stakeholders report any unethical activity affecting it.
